Seeking a skilled Lead Business Analyst to join our Federal Government Client.

Initial 12 Months Contract with extension
Sydney based
Hybrid work flexibility 2-3 days on-site / 2 days WFH
Baseline Security Clearance or higher is mandatory

We are seeking a skilled Lead Business Analyst to support digital transformation initiatives across website, collaboration, and enterprise technology capabilities. The role will work closely with stakeholders to analyse business processes, define requirements, and deliver user-focused digital solutions aligned to strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead requirements gathering and solution design across digital products, websites, intranet, and collaboration platforms with a strong focus on user experience and user-centric design.
• Drive service design initiatives, including defining functional and non-functional requirements, KPIs, OKRs, and business benefit measures.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to analyse, prioritise, and translate business needs into user stories and actionable delivery outcomes.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships while mentoring team members and promoting continuous improvement across business analysis practices.

Essential Skills
• 5–7+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst, including recent experience in a Lead BA role
• Digital transformation projects involving websites, intranet, collaboration platforms, or customer-facing digital services
• Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and user-centric design
• Agile Delivery Environment Experience
• Proficiency in requirement elicitation, feature definition, user story creation, and acceptance criteria definition
• Proven experience in leading the gathering, analysis, and prioritisation of business needs and objectives
• Leading or mentoring BA teams within large-scale transformation or reform programs
• Technical skills to support and administer enterprise platforms or content management systems such as Drupal, Microsoft SharePoint, or e-learning/digital collaboration tools.
