URGENT – Initial 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
$90k – $120k + Super

About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer
to join a high-performing Data analytics team working across a variety of projects. In this role, you will contribute to the development of scalable, well-governed data models, leveraging SQL and dbt to deliver reliable, end-to-end analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Support senior team members within an enterprise analytics function as a junior-level engineering resource
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, well-structured data models using SQL and dbt, aligned to best-practice data modelling standards
• Implement and manage data quality processes, including testing, validation, monitoring, and data profiling
• Work closely with business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions, including data transformation, mapping, reporting requirements, and documentation
• Ensure adherence to data governance frameworks and standards
Key Requirements
• 3–5 years’ experience in a Junior Data Engineering or similar role
• Strong SQL capability
• Hands-on experience with data modelling and transformation
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms or data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake or similar)
• Ability to engage with stakeholders and contribute to end-to-end project delivery
• Experience working within large, complex environments (e.g. government, higher Education, enterprise organisations) in Australia
