Our client is seeking a proactive, technically strong Infrastructure & ERP Application Support Engineer to take ownership of both business‑critical applications and the underlying technology stack that keeps the organisation running.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, can work across multiple technology domains, and wants to be the trusted go‑to person for both IT and business stakeholders.
About the Role
In this hands‑on, varied position, you will deliver end‑to‑end support across ERP systems (Business Central highly desirable) as well as a broad enterprise infrastructure environment.
You will manage incidents, provide technical troubleshooting, and contribute to ongoing optimisation and improvement initiatives across servers, applications, databases, and core business systems.
While there is flexability due to the nature of the role onsite 5-days a week is expected.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2–3 support for ERP systems (Business Central experience highly desirable)
- Deliver application support and troubleshooting for core business systems
- Manage and support Windows desktop and Windows Server environments
- Support virtualised systems using VMware
- Perform routine backup management and monitoring
- Troubleshoot and maintain Linux systems
- Support database environments and perform basic queries/maintenance
- Assist with software deployment and patching
- Work with cybersecurity tools to maintain safe and secure systems
- Collaborate with business users to resolve issues and enhance system functionality
- Participate in continuous improvement and small‑scale project work
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in ERP application support (Business Central preferred)
- Strong IT support experience across infrastructure and applications
- Good database knowledge (SQL understanding advantageous)
- Windows Server & Windows desktop support knowledge
- Experience with VMware
- Exposure to Linux environments
- Understanding of backups, deployment tools, and cybersecurity solutions
- Solid troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and follow issues through to resolution
