Peoplebank are exclusively partnering with a mid-sized company, based in the heart of the Adelaide CBD to recruit Head of IT Business Solutions and Support on an on-going permanent role.
 
Reporting to the COO, you will be an experienced, strategic thinking IT Solutions leader, who can drive business transformation, technology enablement and application support across this organisation who operate in a highly regulated industry.
 
About the Role
Reporting to the COO, this senior leadership role is accountable for leading the Business Solutions and Support Team (of 5 people), which facilitates business process improvements along with providing a range of implementation and support services for the varied business applications across the organisation. They also provide project management and change management services and advice across the business, as well as building exceptional internal stakeholders and external vendors relationships.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership – manage a team of 5 highly talented IT professionals across Business and Systems Analysis, Project Management and Application Support.
  • Innovation /strategy - identify new and emerging digital and ICT technologies, products, services, methods and techniques and the assessment of their relevance and potential value as business enablers, improvements in cost/performance or sustainability. Facilitate and recognise potential strategic application of solutions and initiate investigation and development of innovative methods of exploiting solutions to the benefit of the organisations
  • Project Management - responsibility for the definition, documentation and satisfactory completion of small to medium scale projects.
  • Business process and systems analysis - determine business requirements and specify effective business processes through improvements in information systems, practices and procedures. Analyse business processes, prepare business cases and the implementation of business process improvements
  • Application Support - Ensure appropriate resourcing is maintained to ensure that incidents are dealt with in a timely manner as not to impact organisation service levels or customer service.
 
Skills and Experience required:
  • Proven record of effective leadership within a project leadership, systems implementation or business improvement environment
  • A sound understanding of contemporary IT practices and tools
  • Knowledge and application of sound project management practices and demonstrated expertise in the delivery of organisational business improvement and systems implementation projects
  • Proven track record in business process and systems analysis
  • The ability to identify and apply effective change management strategies across disciplines
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and team presentations
  • Demonstrated record of detailed organisation skills including the ability to monitor workflow and allocated work tasks for completion within critical timeframes
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills including potential problem analysis and analytic troubleshooting
  • Experience in coaching and developing team members with differing skill sets
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry
