About the Organisation

Our client is a large Western Australian organisation operating at the forefront of data-driven intelligence. Their analytics division manages a sophisticated, enterprise-grade graph platform used to support critical operational and strategic outcomes. The nature of their work means they cannot be named at this stage — but we can tell you the problems are complex, the stakes are high, and the technology is cutting-edge.

The Role

You'll join a multi-vendor project team as a Graph Data Developer, contributing to an in-flight graph analytics platform built on Neo4j and GraphAware Hume. This is a hands-on role — you'll be designing and building graph database solutions, integrating data pipelines, and working closely with stakeholders to turn complex requirements into high-quality analytical capabilities.
If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to see your work make a genuine difference, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement graph data solutions to meet analytical and operational needs
  • Build and optimise Neo4j graph architectures, including schema and data modelling
  • Develop and integrate graph analytics capabilities within an existing enterprise platform
  • Contribute to technical design discussions and help drive continuous improvement
  • Deliver work on time and to a high standard — including testing, documentation, and deployment
  • Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure solutions hit the mark
  • Uphold strict information security and data confidentiality standards
Key Experience
  • Hands-on experience with Neo4j and Cypher query language
  • Strong Python skills for data ingestion, transformation, and pipeline orchestration
  • Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines and SQL transformations
  • Practical problem-solver — you find pragmatic solutions that deliver real value
  • Comfortable hitting the ground running in a fast-moving, in-flight project
Desirable Experience
  • Experience with graph data science, ML, NLP, or LLM-driven analytics components
  • Familiarity with enterprise or cloud-based analytics environments
  • Exposure to multi-vendor project delivery
  • Azure DevOps or Kanban board experience
  • Public sector background — intelligence domain a bonus
  • Relevant degree in data science, computer science, engineering, or IT
The Benefits
  • Work on one of WA's most sophisticated intelligence analytics platforms
  • Join a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team using leading graph technologies
  • Contribute to outcomes that genuinely matter to the community
  • Competitive contract rate
