About the Role We are seeking an experienced Functional Analyst to join a high‑performing delivery team within the banking sector. This role will work closely with end clients, internal technology teams, and third‑party vendors to translate business requirements into clear, actionable functional solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage directly with banking end clients and senior stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document functional requirements
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and process flows
- Act as the liaison between business, technology teams, and external vendors, ensuring alignment and clarity throughout delivery
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Product Owners, and Developers to ensure solutions meet business outcomes
- Assist with UAT support, defect triage, and change impact analysis
- Ensure documentation aligns with banking governance, compliance, and risk standards
- Proven Functional Analyst experience within Banking or Financial Services (essential)
- Demonstrated experience working directly with end clients in a delivery environment
- Strong vendor management experience, including working with offshore/onshore delivery teams
- Solid understanding of banking products, platforms, and regulatory environments
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Experience producing high‑quality functional documentation and supporting delivery through to implementation
- Experience working across core banking, Asset management, Equipment finance.
- Prior experience in vendor‑led or system‑integrator environments
- Work on high‑impact banking initiatives with well‑known financial institutions
