A global mining client that has been established for over 20 years with a focus on green energy solutions.
The Role
This position involves building and enhancing distributed backend systems that underpin large, business‑critical applications. You will work within an established engineering group that values clean code, strong architectural thinking, and collaborative problem‑solving.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing service‑oriented applications using C# and modern .NET runtimes.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining event‑driven components, including event sourcing patterns and message‑based integrations.
- Contributing to the evolution of a microservices ecosystem, ensuring services remain resilient, modular, and scalable.
- Working with ORM tools(e.g., Entity Framework or equivalent) to manage data persistence.
- Engaging in team code reviews, technical discussions, and quality‑focused development practices.
- Supporting the delivery of well-tested, high‑performance software modules.
Required Experience
To succeed in this role, you should bring:
- Strong hands-on background in C# and .NET Core.
- Solid understanding of microservice design principles and service autonomy.
- Practical exposure to event-driven architectures and message bus technologies.
- Experience in Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience using ORM frameworks to build reliable data access layers.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
Highly Regarded Skills
While not essential, the following will be considered advantageous:
- Previous experience in contract-based roles or consulting environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated build and deployment workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud environments.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
