About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Site Support Technician to oversee IT service delivery across a dynamic mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide IT support across mine site operations, ensuring reliable service delivery and user satisfaction.
- Support and troubleshoot end-user technology including desktops, mobile devices, printers, and AV equipment.
- Work closely with infrastructure, network, and project teams to maintain IT systems and services.
- Manage, track, and resolve IT incidents, escalating critical issues when required.
- Monitor IT service performance, compliance, and SLA requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure stable and effective IT operations.
- Maintain accurate IT documentation and asset records.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support IT projects across the site.
- University degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience
- Experience in IT services, technical support, and supervisory roles within mining environments
- Mine site-based IT support experience
- Self-driven leader with a proactive and strategic approach to IT service delivery
- Strong IT operations knowledge, including customer and vendor relationship management
- Knowledge of facilities and infrastructure including data centres, communications rooms, video conferencing, access control, printing, HVAC/UPS, cabling, and related services
- Experience with radio communications and large-scale WiFi networks
- Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of an organisation
