We are seeking an experienced Network & Things Lead to take ownership of a complex, enterprise-scale infrastructure environment. This role is responsible for leading the delivery, performance, and continuous improvement of network services across a large and critical digital ecosystem.
You will oversee the end-to-end operation of core network infrastructure spanning IT, OT, and IoT environments, ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned to business needs.
This is a key leadership role that blends technical expertise, operational management, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage network operations to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security
- Oversee LAN, WAN, VPN, and IoT environments across a complex infrastructure landscape
- Drive incident, problem, change, and service management in line with ITIL practices
- Manage and performance-optimise vendors and service providers against SLAs and contracts
- Provide technical leadership in network design, architecture, and service improvements
- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements
- Monitor system performance and proactively address risks and issues
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning for network services
- Build and develop a high-performing technical team
- Engage stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable, customer-focused services
You will bring:
- 8–10+ years’ experience in network infrastructure and operations
- Proven experience leading technical teams in complex environments
- Strong knowledge of:
- Network technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless)
- Digital infrastructure across IT, OT, and IoT domains
- Experience in IT Service Management (ITIL) environments
- Demonstrated experience managing:
- Vendors and service providers
- Budgets and operational planning
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience working within regulated or compliance-driven environments (e.g. APRA, SOCI or similar)
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, Juniper, ITIL)
- Background in utilities, critical infrastructure, or large enterprise environments
