Seeking a skilled DevOps / Platform Engineer
to join our Federal Government Client.
Initial 12 Months Contract with extension
Sydney based
Hybrid work flexibility 2-3 days on-site / 2 days WFH
Baseline Security Clearance or higher is mandatory
We are seeking a skilled DevOps / Platform Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on building and maintaining scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work across modern cloud and Kubernetes environments while driving continuous improvement in deployment and operational practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with development and product teams to support the SDLC and manage day-to-day operations.
• Design, deploy, monitor, and maintain platform applications and Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automate CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable deployments.
• Support secure on-premises and cloud environments with a focus on security, patching, and risk mitigation.
Required Skills
• 5-7+ years of proven experience as DevOps/Platform Engineer
• Experienced in production support and troubleshooting, on-premises environments, and Kubernetes deployments (using Kubespray or similar Infrastructure as Code tool)
• Strong Ansible Skills
• Experience with Linux (ideally Ubuntu)
• Experience using Jira/Confluence to manage work activities
• Git source control knowledge
• Forgerock IAM including OpenAM/IDM/DS or Apache Proxy with mod_security experience
• Certificated Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification or similar is a plus
