Our Federal Government Client is seeking :
1IT Data Modeller
2. Senior Cognos & PowerBI
3.Senior ETL/Oracle Software Developer

These are long-term contract role 12 months with 12 months extension with two (2) possible extensions, located at our client’s ACT -based role with a hybrid working arrangement, and a requirement to work from the office at least two (2) days per week (WFH arrangements to be formalised prior to commencement).

1IT Data Modeller
To be successful in this role you should have:
• 5+ years’ experience delivering data solutions using SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Strong experience in data modelling and database design within Enterprise Data Warehouse environments
• Experience with EDW technologies such as Teradata, Informatica, GCP, SAS, Cognos, Qlik, Oracle or similar
• Advanced SQL skills with the ability to query, interpret and analyse complex data
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Relevant qualifications, certification or accreditation in a related discipline

It is desirable if you have:
• Experience proactively driving business change and delivering measurable outcomes
• Practical experience developing data management design artefacts and mapping documents
• Experience designing efficient, maintainable and cost-effective databases
• Experience maintaining data management documentation
• Experience with dimensional modelling, ERD and awareness of Data Vault
• Experience with database platforms such as Oracle or SQL Server
• Experience with XML schema design, ER Studio or similar tools
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management and data quality principles

2. Senior Cognos & PowerBI
Technical skillsProficiency in IBM Cognos (Framework Manager, Transformer, Report Studio, Analytics). Advanced skills in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, Dataflows, and Workspaces. Experience in report migration from Cognos to Power BI. Strong SQL and data modelling capabilities within enterprise data warehouse environments. Familiarity with Qlik Sense Experience integrating BI tools with data sources such as Teradata, Oracle, and GCP. Understanding of Agile & DevOps practices DevOps practices

To be successful in this role you should have:
• Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in BI development using both Cognos and Power BI within an enterprise data warehouse environment.
• Proven experience in migrating BI artefacts and reports from Cognos to Power BI.
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and optimise complex data models, reports, and dashboards.
• Experience working in Agile, cross-functional data teams delivering to business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate requirements into scalable BI solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences effectively.

It is desirable if you have:
• Experience with Qlik Sense and other modern BI visualisation tools.
• Understanding of data governance frameworks and metadata management.
• Familiarity with aged care or health data systems (e.g., Siebel, Salesforce, Services Australia).
• Certifications in Power BI, Cognos, or Data Analytics.
• Experience contributing to BI strategy or roadmaps in a large government or enterprise environment.

3.Senior ETL/Oracle Software Developer
Technical skillsExperience of working in Data Warehouse area

To be successful in this role you should have:
• 5+ years’ experience working and exhibiting knowledge in in ETL tools SAS Data integration studio, Base SAS, IBM LSF Flow, analysis, design and implementation experience in an Oracle environment.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver business solutions through the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile development practices ( SAFe ) and processes for data acquisition;
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and capacity to communicate and work effectively within a multi-disciplined and blended team environment;
• Familiarity with Clean Code principles Extensive experience in PL/SQL programming and SQL query optimisation.
• Experience implementing and supporting ETL and Batch Schedules;
• Experience in performing database performance assessment and optimisation
• Working knowledge in implementing high availability features of an Oracle database • A strong understanding of XML, XPath and XQuery, able to analyse and create complex Xpath and Xquery statements.

It is desirable if you have:
• Proven ability to work in a team environment, with the ability to work with limited supervision and achieve results. A high level of organisation and good time management skills, including a demonstrated ability to meet priorities and work to deadlines;
• A demonstrated ability to engage with requesting business areas and project stakeholders;
• Ability to discuss technical issues/solutions with both technical and non-technical staff; and
• Bachelor's degree in IT; or equivalent experience.
