Join a Queensland government department as a Data Governance Specialist, where you will contribute to establishing critical data management practices across the organisation.
An exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic government environment focused on enhancing data stewardship and compliance.
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Proven experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Expertise in core data governance principles, including data quality, lineage, and data integrity.
- Experience onboarding and training roles related to data governance, such as Data Stewards and Data Custodians.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working within a highly regulated environment, such as insurance or government sectors.
- Medallion architecture or equivalent data layers, Azure Databricks or similar cloud data platform experience desirable
