Our client is seeking an experienced Data Engineer for an initial 6-month contract to support a major HR Data Program focused on workforce analytics, staff cost reporting, and automation of manual processes.
About the role
You'll be responsible for designing, developing and optimising data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt and Apache Airflow, working across multiple enterprise source systems to deliver trusted, high-quality data for reporting and analytics.
What you'll bring
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer within a large enterprise environment
• Experience working with HR, payroll or finance data
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake
• Commercial experience developing dbt models
• Experience with Apache Airflow (or similar workflow orchestration tools)
• Advanced SQL and data warehousing expertise
• Experience building enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines
• Exposure to Data Vault and/or dimensional data modelling
• Strong understanding of data quality, testing and production support
• Experience with Workday will be highly regarded
