Our Client is a renewable energy and development company looking for an experienced Cyber security Engineer to support and secure critical technology environments across IT and operational technology systems.
This role focuses on protecting networks and infrastructure, monitoring cyber threats, and working closely with internal teams and external SOC providers to ensure strong security outcomes. You will also contribute to security design for new projects and support ongoing compliance and uplift initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support IT and OT security networks and infrastructure
- Monitor cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security events
- Act as a key technical contact for external SOC providers
- Review and validate security controls for new projects and system designs
- Support and maintain security technologies such as firewalls and patching
- Assist with security audits and implement remediation actions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of cyber security standards and procedures
- Support project, legal, and compliance teams on security and governance requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in IT, OT, or cyber security roles
- Experience implementing and supporting IT and OT security solutions
- Familiarity with cyber security frameworks and regulatory environments
- Experience with firewalls and core security technologies
- Exposure to cloud environments such as Azure and Microsoft 365
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
