About the Role: Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Cloud Technology Advisor.
This is a long-term contract role for an initial 12-month duration with 2 x 12-month extension options, located at our client’s QLD, ACT or NSW offices with hybrid working arrangements.
As the selected candidate, you will:
• Provide expert technical guidance on Microsoft Azure, AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) cloud environments
• Lead and support enterprise-scale cloud programs including migrations and optimisation initiatives
• Establish and drive FinOps practices including cloud cost governance, spend visibility and optimisation strategies
• Deliver expertise on Azure Enterprise Scale Landing Zones, Azure billing, identity and access management, networking and security
• Support multi-cloud environments spanning Azure and OCI, including Oracle Database @ Azure integrations
• Contribute to strategic planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives
• Mentor and support team capability development while ensuring quality delivery outcomes
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across internal and external teams
To be successful in this role you should have:
• Detailed technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure Enterprise Scale Landing Zones including Azure Billing, Azure tenants, IAM, network topology and security
• Strong experience working across multi-cloud environments including Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Demonstrated experience establishing and optimising FinOps practices and Azure FinOps Hubs across enterprise-scale environments
• Proven experience leading complex cloud migration and optimisation programs
• Ideally 10+ years of relevant cloud design, implementation, operations and support experience within large and complex government environments
• Degree qualifications or equivalent industry experience
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and time management skills
It is desirable if you have:
• Demonstrated cloud solution experience working within the Australian health sector
Due to security clearance requirements
for this role ,
candidates must be Australian citizens
with the ability to obtain
a Baseline Security Clearance.
