Are you an experienced Change Lead looking to play a pivotal role in a major whole‑of‑department transformation? A large Queensland Government department is delivering a significant transition from a customised SAP ECC6 environment to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition, with a go‑live planned for November 2026.
About the Role Working as a key member of the project team and reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will lead all change management, communication, and training activities to support the department’s transition to S/4HANA.
You will partner closely with a core government body, finance teams, ICT stakeholders, and business units to ensure impacts are understood, risks are managed, and staff are prepared for new processes and system functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the program’s Change Management Strategy and associated plans.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, organisational readiness and communication activities.
- Design and facilitate workshops, briefings, and change impact assessments.
- Develop communication artefacts, engagement materials and project updates.
- Build and deliver training programs and learning materials tailored to diverse user groups.
- Map organisational change, roles, responsibilities and future‑state processes.
- Identify and manage change risks, issues, impacts and dependencies.
- Support development of business process documentation aligned with whole‑of‑government standards.
- Prepare reports, presentations, briefings and status updates for leadership.
- Champion a culture of collaboration, adaptability and continuous improvement.
About You You will bring extensive experience delivering change across large‑scale ICT or ERP transformation programs and excel at engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven experience leading change management for major IT or ERP implementations (SAP S/4HANA or similar).
- Strong capability in designing and delivering change, communication and training plans.
- High‑level stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and guide diverse groups through change.
- Experience running workshops, conducting change impact assessments and managing resistance.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship‑building skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
