Rate:$50–56 per hour incl. super depending on experience

We are seeking a J unior to Mid-Level Backup Support Engineer to join a large enterprise environment on a 6‑month contract. This role is ideal for someone with foundational to intermediate experience in Veritas NetBackup or Commvault, looking to build deeper expertise in backup operations, incident support, and disaster recovery within a structured ICT team.
You will support the organisation’s enterprise backup and recovery services, ensuring backup jobs run successfully, issues are resolved efficiently, and data protection standards are maintained. Working closely with senior engineers, infrastructure teams, and platform owners, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining system resilience and data integrity.
Skills & Experience
- 2–5 years in infrastructure or backup support
- Experience with Veritas NetBackup and/or Commvault
- Understanding of backup concepts: policies, schedules, retention, restores
- Familiarity with Windows & Linux server environments
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and documentation capability
- Exposure to VMware, Azure, AWS
- Basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Experience with SQL, Oracle, or VMware-level backups
- ITIL experience
