Our client is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a large-scale enterprise transformation program, focusing on modernising information systems and enhancing data workflows. This position will suit someone with extensive experience in data migration, cloud-based integration, and automation using tools such as AWS, Python, SQL, and scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable data migration pipelines using AWS, SQL, and Python.
- Conduct advanced data analysis to troubleshoot and resolve migration or integration issues.
- Develop ETL/ELT processes to support business and financial data transformation.
- Automate tasks using Bash and/or PowerShell for improved efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data integrity, quality, and reporting accuracy.
Skills & Requirements
- Strong experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on large data migrations.
- Strong proficiency in AWS services, Python, SQL, and modern ETL/ELT tools.
- Proven experience analysing and resolving complex data integration issues.
- Skilled in scripting (Bash and/or PowerShell) for automation and optimisation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills in cross-functional environments.
