About the Role:
Our Federal Government Client is seeking an Application Developer (DevOps). This is a long-term contract role for 12 months with two 12-month extension options, located in Canberra, Melbourne or Adelaide.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens and hold a current Baseline security clearance.
As the selected candidate, you will join a federal government technology team supporting critical digital service platforms as part of an agile Release Train delivery team.You will:
- Assist with solution design activities, contribute to technical design artefacts, and identify system impacts across enterprise digital platforms.
- Build, configure and enhance system components and integrations in line with agreed designs and standards, while contributing to sprint delivery, integration and testing activities.
- Support quality and continuous improvement through testing, defect resolution, automation of routine tasks, workflow refinement, documentation updates, and knowledge transfer to team members.
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Experience in one of the following programming languages: C# or Java; experience working in Agile delivery teams in a digital or IT environment; and demonstrated experience contributing across design, build and test activities.
- Exposure to BDE, SBR, DSG, or similar integration-focused platforms or enterprise systems, and experience using Agile tools such as Azure DevOps to manage and track work including bugs, issues and risks.
It is desirable if you have:
- Familiarity with APIs, data exchange and system integration concepts, exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices or test automation, and experience working across multiple delivery environments (Dev, Test, Pre-Prod, Prod).
