1st Level Desktop Support – Large Manufacturing Company
URGENT Permanent Fulltime opportunity
$50k-$60k + Super Annual Remuneration
Must reside within 10-20 mins from Wollongong, NSW area (100% Onsite)

We are seeking a 1st Level Desktop Support and be the first line of assistance, helping staff stay productive with hardware, software, and network solutions.
Gain hands-on experience across desktop support, backups, network administration, and system management in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical support, advice, and training to internal staff on hardware, software, and network services.
• Perform day-to-day desktop support, including installation, upgrades, maintenance, and end-user assistance.
• Manage backup operations, including daily checks, tape changes, storage planning, and log recording.
• Assist with disaster recovery testing and maintain IT systems and software documentation.
• Administer WINTEL systems, including user accounts, Active Directory, and EDI monitoring.
• Support basic network administration, such as printers, switches, hubs, and media converters.
• Manage software administration, including license compliance, patch management, and Windows updates.

Required Skills and Experience
• At least 1-3 years of experience in 1st Level Desktop Support or System Support role
• Previous work experience in Australia is required
• Skilled in supporting users via phone, remote access, and on-site visits
• Strong verbal communication skills with a friendly, approachable personality
• Experience in environments with 80–200 staff
• Willingness to be coached and undergo training
• Comfortable working 100% on-site
• Reside within 10–20 minutes of the Wollongong area
