About the Role: Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Lead Delivery Manager.
This is an initial 12-month contract plus 2 x 12-month extension options, located in Canberra, ACT.
This is an onsite role requiring attendance in the office 5 days per week.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Oversee the successful delivery of managed ICT services across the department.
- Act as the primary liaison between managed service providers and internal technical teams.
- Review and renew contracts for managed ICT services.
- Identify technical risks and develop State of Requirements documentation for Windows 11 MOE and application packaging support procurements.
- Lead the transition of new services and service providers, ensuring service readiness and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with contractual SLAs and KPIs.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors to support system integration and operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships at operational and executive levels.
- Manage service expectations and drive continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, governance processes, and escalation procedures.
- Demonstrated experience successfully managing technical projects.
- Experience with Australian Public Service (APS) Approach to Market (ATM) and tender processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience facilitating meetings, capturing actions, managing outcomes, coordinating releases, and keeping senior stakeholders informed.
- Proven experience managing risks, issues, and service delivery outcomes.
- SFIA Level 6 capability in Technology Service Management (ITMG).
- 5+ years' experience in delivery management or service delivery roles.
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) disciplines including incident, problem, change, and request management.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and project management tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise desktop environments including SOE, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, and Application Packaging.
