The ERP Principal Specialist will manage and deliver an end-to-end ERP functional capability aligned to the ERP Platform Finance Value Stream. This role will be responsible for setting vision, objectives, functional standards, behaviours, and ways of working to create a high-performance functional group.
Contract Duration : 12 Month + highly extension
Work Location : Brisbane Square, 266 George Street, Brisbane, Qld 4000
Purpose and key deliverables:
• Set the finance value stream vision, objectives, culture, and ways of working to create a high-performance functional group and culture of continuous improvement.
• Manage the finance value stream team to deliver support, minor enhancement and project functional change utilising internal resources and external service providers.
• Provide thought leadership to the Finance Value Stream, also team leadership to the team. Provide direction, governance and assurance oversight.
• Be a trusted point of contact for business stakeholders and an advocate - understand business stakeholder vision, strategy, challenges, and opportunities.
• Translate business outcomes into a value stream strategy and roadmap ensuring alignment to broader platform strategy.
• Work with business and the stakeholders to define and scope new work. Ensure value/benefits are identified and incorporated into delivery planning via a prioritised product backlog. Track and communicate value delivered.
• Provide internal consulting advice to business and stakeholders - harnessing SAP capabilities and best practice processes to meet business needs and exceed expectations.
• Develop and manage standards for SAP Finance architecture, system configuration, functional unit testing and unit testing for delivered and vendor delivered SAP system configuration.
• Provide expert architecture and functional advice in the delivery of value stream services.
Required skills and experience:
• Significant experience of working in SAP ECC and S/4 HANA environments in SAP functional consulting and or SAP solution architecture.
• Demonstrated significant experience of successfully managing SAP functional teams including the implementation of industry frameworks (eg SAP Activate) and functional analysis and configuration services in a complex organisation.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, influencing and management skills – understanding how others think and act – ability to smoothly deliver outcomes through strong business, team and supplier partnerships.
• Highly developed verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills. Proven experience in building strong working relationships with all levels of seniority and demonstration of exceptional customer centricity.
• Ability to skilfully approach multiple sources to solve problems - demonstrating advanced skill and keen insight in gathering, sorting and applying key information.
• Creates competitive and breakthrough plans for innovation; generates an attitude of enthusiastic expectancy in others regarding change and challenge.
• Demonstrated understanding and experience in SAP finance processes, cost models and budgeting including configuration of SAP finance modules (e.g. FI, CO, TR, CM, IM, BPC – Budgeting Planning and Consolidation) and a good working understanding of integration points within other modules of SAP.
