As the Director of Health Information Operations, you will spearhead the management of comprehensive health information services. Your expertise will drive the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of services across Clinical Records, Clinical Data, Corporate Records, Clinical Coding, and Health Information Access in both paper and digital realms.
Summarised Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically lead and execute plans to elevate the Health Information Service, aligning with our client's core values and strategic vision.
- Oversee the operational management of health information systems, ensuring excellence in Clinical Records, Data, Corporate Records, and Clinical Coding.
- Stay abreast of industry developments to provide authoritative advice on health information management systems and patient data security.
- Collaborate with the Digital Delivery Program to shape the future of health information services.
- Uphold the highest standards in clinical documentation, meeting external regulatory requirements.
Skills and Attributes Required:
- Tertiary qualifications in Health Information Management
- While not mandatory, eligibility for membership in the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA), will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing a Health Information Service providing Clinical Records management, Clinical Data management, Corporate Record management, Clinical Coding, and Health Information Access services, including the ability to plan, direct and evaluate services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of health information management systems, including patient information systems and clinical classification systems, with experience in analysis, implementation, and management of these systems.
- Demonstrated effective negotiation, consultation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide high-level advice at the Executive/Senior Clinician level.
- Demonstrated high-level commitment to quality improvement with expertise in the implementation of quality management strategies and achievement of required accreditation standards.
- Management experience of various team sizes (>40+ ideally)
