The Ways of Working Consultant (Jira SME) provides specialist expertise in agile delivery practices and Jira optimisation. The role supports the organisation’s transformation and continuous improvement initiatives by embedding effective ways of working, enabling transparency, and ensuring teams are equipped with the right tools and practices to deliver outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of an existing effective ways of working strategy across business and technology teams.
- Act as the subject matter expert for Jira configuration, workflow design, dashboards, reporting, and integrations.
- Provide coaching and training to teams and leaders on agile practices and Jira best practice.
- Partner with PMO and leadership to establish consistent reporting and portfolio-level governance.
- Facilitate workshops to identify bottlenecks, delivery challenges, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Drive adoption of standardised processes and tool usage across the organisation.
- Work with technical teams to ensure Jira integrates effectively with related platforms.
- Champion organisational change by embedding scalable and sustainable delivery practices.
- Demonstrated experience in ways of working, agile transformation, or delivery enablement.
- Advanced knowledge of Jira Software administration, including workflow design, governance, and reporting.
- Familiarity with the Atlassian ecosystem (Confluence, Advanced Roadmaps, Jira Align desirable).
- Strong knowledge of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or hybrid).
- Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and change management skills.
- Relevant certifications in Atlassian or agile disciplines (highly desirable).
