Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Solution Designer.
This is a long-term contract role from 08 December 2025 to 07 June 2026
with t hree
6-month extension options, located at our client’s Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra or Melbourne sites, with on-site working arrangements as required.
As the selected candidate, you will:
• Design and implement workflows and business logic in ServiceNow to support automated ITIL Normal change requests triggered via Azure DevOps pipelines
• Collaborate with ITSM stakeholders to define risk-based approval logic, automated scheduling, and deployment triggers
• Ensure automated change outcomes are accurately reflected in ServiceNow, including automated closure or escalation for manual review
• Contribute to updates of policy and procedural documentation supporting the automated change process
• Support Azure DevOps test plan customisation to enable risk-based decision logic
• Navigate complex stakeholder environments and promote automation and risk-based approaches
• Lead solution design activities across ServiceNow and Azure DevOps
• Manage design activities and develop sustainable, scalable solutions
• Produce high-quality solution intent, workflow, and risk documentation
• Provide expert design advice and engage collaboratively with stakeholders To be successful in this role you should have:
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow DevOps Change Velocity and integration with Azure DevOps or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of ITIL change management and automation
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing workflows and business logic in ServiceNow
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines and test plan configuration
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to recognise system/process limitations and propose effective solutions
• Strong documentation and design communication capability
It is desirable if you have:
• Experience with business situation analysis
• Knowledge of quality management practices
• Experience providing specialist technical advice
• Programming or software development capability
• Business intelligence experience
• Systems integration and build experience
• Measurement and metrics experience
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with a Baseline security clearance.
