Whilst the company operates a hybrid work setup, this is NOT a fully remote role and you must be based in Adelaide, South Australia with full work rights.
The Solution Architect is a Senior technical role responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions that support the Future State architecture for our clients largest and most important program of work.
Responsibilities include
- Leads the detailed technical design, estimating and technical development of enhancement to systems.
- Develops solution architectures from business and functional requirements, in collaboration with BAs and SMEs.
- Contributes technical expertise to requirements analysis to enhance the quality of the solution design.
- Contributes to the Future State architecture and provide advice on suitable technical solutions.
- Assesses current systems architecture and works with technical staff to recommend suitable solutions to enable the Future State.
- Identifies, communicate, and manage technical risks, including performance, integration, and data integrity concerns.
- Keeps stakeholders informed of any technical risks or limitations associated with proposed solutions.
- Ensures all solutions address security, privacy, testing, and compliance requirements in accordance with relevant architecture, strategies, policies, standards and practices.
- Develops and communicate an actionable and realistic implementation roadmap for approved solutions.
- Provides guidance and risk-based governance to support solution implementation including managing requests for changes and deviations from specifications.
Skills and Experience required
- 5+ years of proven experience in engineering and software architecture design.
- In-depth understanding of coding languages (specifically Java and JavaScript would be ideal!).
- Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases.
- Exceptional communication skills including written and verbal communications, as well as visualisations.
- Previous project management experience is advantageous.
