The opportunity
Our client is looking for a Software Developer who codes daily, partners closely with non-technical teams and helps modernise the architecture for scale. You will build new features on a core platform used internationally.
What you will do
- Work with service delivery, verification and leadership to clarify use cases and turn them into well-designed software
- Build secure, well-tested services and interfaces across Node.js, TypeScript, React and MongoDB
- Contribute to splitting a monolith into maintainable services
- Design and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with external providers
- Strengthen automated tests and support the uplift of CI pipelines
- Participate in shared operational support
TypeScript, Node.js, React, Jest. MongoDB as the primary store with Amazon Aurora on RDS where useful. AWS with Elastic Beanstalk, ECS Fargate, Lambda and Step Functions. Infrastructure with AWS CloudFormation. ISO 27001 practices apply across the lifecycle.
What you will bring
- 7+ years total development experience with strong commercial TypeScript
- Solid MERN background across back end and React UI
- MongoDB depth in modelling, indexing and performance
- Clear communicator who enjoys working directly with the business
- Practical experience with testing and CI workflows
- Curiosity for AI-assisted development and productivity tooling
