Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Software Developer (HQOTM)
This is a long-term contract role for an initial 12-month duration with possible extensions, located at our client’s Canberra office with onsite working arrangements.
As the selected candidate, you will:
• Design and document the HQOTM MPE node
• Review and provide advice on interfacing system designs and implementations
• Develop, integrate, and maintain software components and applications
• Automate solution installation processes
• Build, administer, and support production HQOTM MPE nodes
• Transfer knowledge to support personnel and contribute to training material development
• Perform Level 3 support for production systems
• Baseline and maintain system configuration control and software list
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Business Level Impact (BLI) documents
• Create and implement a Patch Management Plan for HQOTM MPE nodes
To be successful in this role you should have:
• Greater than 8 years of experience in software development
• Experience developing software for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems
• Strong experience in RHEL server/application administration and customisation
• Proven experience in hardening RHEL operating systems
• Skills in scripting and automating application installation and configuration
• Experience developing and maintaining RHEL Standard Operating Environment (SOE) images
• Strong technical documentation skills
• Familiarity with DEVSECOPS methodologies
It is desirable if you have:
• Experience with deployable Communication and Information Systems (CIS)
• Understanding of systems engineering processes
• Knowledge of the Defence Capability Lifecycle
• Experience working in Agile project environments
• Experience in Ansible scripting
• Familiarity with OpenStack
• Experience developing and maintaining Windows SOE environments
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with a minimum NV1 Security Clearance.
