You will design, deploy, and manage end-to-end infrastructure solutions—spanning physical, virtual, network, and cloud environments—to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of digital services throughout their lifecycle, from implementation to decommissioning.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the deployment and ongoing management of NetApp storage solutions across both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Commvault backup solutions across on-premises, Azure, and Commvault cloud platforms.
- Develop and execute strategies for data retention, rotation, and lifecycle management across backup and storage systems.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with Commvault backup and NetApp storage systems.
- Provide expert support and collaborate with internal technical teams on known or emerging issues, and engage with vendors to resolve incidents, improve service delivery, and uphold support agreements.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of enterprise-grade technical solutions, supporting both project initiatives and business-as-usual operations with a focus on reliability and scalability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing operational processes and best practices, ensuring alignment with agency objectives and industry standards.
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience as a senior storage engineer/administrator working with traditional and cloud-based systems
- Certification in NetApp or Commvault would be highly desirable
- Expert knowledge in Netapp storage technologies
- Expert knowledge in Commvault backup technologies
- Expert knowledge in Commvault cloud technologies
- In depth working knowledge of the ISCI, NFS and CIFS Protocols
- Australian Citizen only with the ability to obtain NV1 clearance; candidates with NV1 clearance will be highly regarded.
