This is a 12 month contract role (with further extensions possible), where you will get to work the chance to work with a talented team on a large, interesting and challenging project.
The Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating the adoption and implementation of Agile methodologies within the team. This role ensures that Scrum practices are followed, supports the team in achieving their goals, and fosters an environment conducive to continuous improvement and high performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies across multiple teams, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
- Mentor team members on Agile principles and practices, encouraging organisation and accountability.
- Work closely with Stream Leads to ensure a clear and well-managed backlog.
- Identify and remove impediments affecting team performance and delivery.
- Monitor and report on Agile metrics, for transparency and data driven decision making.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance.
- Support Agile transformation initiatives and contribute to enterprise agility.
- Participate in Scrum of Scrums with interstate teams.
Skills and Experience Required
- A highly skilled and experienced IT / Agile professional, who has helped delivery large and complex projects / programs
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
- Agile Expertise: Demonstrated experience in applying Agile methodologies, particularly on Scrum and Program Increment (PI) Planning, to drive cross functional team collaboration and deliver outcomes.
- Facilitation Skills: Strong facilitation skills with the ability to guide teams through Agile ceremonies and discussions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address impediments.
- Team Collaboration: Experience in building a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt Agile practices to suit the specific needs and context of the team and organisation.
- Ideally be professional certified in Agile – CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master etc.
