About the Role:
This role is critical in ensuring governance, control, and delivery excellence across the full PMO lifecycle. It will oversee risk and issue management, program reporting, dependency tracking, and forum coordination, while ensuring compliance with PMO standards. Working closely with the PMO Lead and diverse stakeholders, the role requires strong influence, collaboration, and outcome-driven leadership to support the success of the Program.
Responsibilities:
- Support the management of PMO governance and controls, including reporting, risk/issue/decision/change management, and dependency tracking (monitoring, reporting, and escalation as required).
- Plan and coordinate key program governance forums, preparing high-quality status reports and pre-read materials for Program Horizon and related initiatives.
- Build strong stakeholder engagement at all levels, guiding and coaching on PMO governance processes, tools, and standards.
- Develop and maintain PMO reports and dashboards to enable timely, informed decision-making, leveraging tools such as Power BI to deliver insights and supporting narratives.
- Assist with the build and maintenance of program plans and trackers using MS Project, Azure DevOps, and Power BI as needed.
- Provide coaching, driving capability uplift, and identifying opportunities for automation, standardisation, and alignment with PMO best practices.
- Provide support to the PMO Lead on key projects, initiatives, and program-wide priorities.
- 4–5+ years’ experience in a program-level PMO function, ideally supporting major ERP or IT transformation initiatives, with proven ability to drive governance and control standards.
- Relevant PMO/Project Management qualifications and/or strong working knowledge of recognised methodologies and frameworks (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent).
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint), collaboration platforms (SharePoint, MS Teams), and scheduling tools (MS Project, Azure DevOps).
- Strong reporting and analytical skills, with hands-on experience using Power BI to design insightful, high-quality dashboards and reports.
- Demonstrated experience in project planning and scheduling activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to influence, engage, and align stakeholders across large and complex program teams.
