We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with strong cloud engineering fundamentals, hands-on AWS experience, and the ability to build resilient, scalable systems.
The role focuses on:
- Enabling platform scalability as we expand from pilot to enterprise-wide deployment
- Strengthening reliability and operational excellence
- Improving observability, metrics and diagnostics
- Supporting the build-out and operations of a multi-agent AI solution
- Troubleshooting complex issues in a mission-critical environment
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain AWS infrastructure for high-scale customer-facing systems
- Drive operational resilience across the platform, ensuring reliability and fault tolerance
- Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines, primarily using GitHub Actions
- Build and enhance observability frameworks, including metrics, logs, monitoring and alerting
- Support application teams with diagnostics, troubleshooting and performance analysis
- Contribute to containerisation and orchestration using ECS and Docker
- Collaborate closely with engineering squads to uplift automation, scalability, and deployment maturity
- Work in a fast-paced environment transitioning from pilot to full-scale rollout
- Engage in scenario-based problem solving and proposing engineering-led solutions
- 3+ years in Platform Engineering or Cloud Engineering (or equivalent depth of expertise)
- Strong experience with AWS, including:
- ECS (container orchestration)
- Lambda
- Infrastructure-as-Code (using internal blueprints or external equivalents)
- Practical experience with Docker and containerised workloads
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions
- Solid understanding of observability, monitoring, and metrics
- Tools include Obstack, and some Splunk
- Demonstrated ability in:
- Troubleshooting
- Diagnosing complex system behaviours
- Handling production issues and failure scenarios
- Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to articulate problem-solving approaches
