You’ll work alongside the Head of Networks and one other senior engineer, contributing to core network expansion, supporting operational stability, and solving complex technical challenges without the red tape of large corporates. Key responsibilities
- Support the build, maintenance, and expansion of a multi-city core network (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne).
- Provide technical expertise on infrastructure projects and act as an escalation point for complex issues.
- Assist in training team members in Juniper and MikroTik in a residential ISP context.
- Collaborate with sales and development teams on configuration templates, new technologies, and rollout support.
- Participate in after-hours upgrades and on-call roster.
- Strong Juniper JunOS experience in production ISP or enterprise (JNCIA+ valued).
- MikroTik RouterOS (experience ideal, training possible).
- Solid understanding of OSPF, BGP, MPLS VPN, EVPN-VXLAN.
- ISP core networking: peering, transit, PPPoE, Radius, Netflow.
- Knowledge of optical and fixed wireless networks.
- Experience working with carriers for fibre, L2, DIA.
- JNCIS-SP, automation (Python, Ansible).
- Fixed wireless design/deployment.
- Vendor exposure to Cambium, Ubiquiti, etc.
