Are you a Senior Engineer passionate about delivering seamless, secure, and scalable modern workplace solutions? We’re seeking a highly experienced professional to join a dynamic team supporting an enterprise-level client undergoing a significant desktop transformation and infrastructure uplift.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a complex environment, leveraging your expertise in SCCM, Intune, SOE, and application packaging to drive operational excellence and end-user experience.
About the Role
As a Senior Modern Workplace Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end management of desktop infrastructure, from system configuration and software deployment to troubleshooting and documentation. You’ll play a key role in rebuilding and rolling out Windows 10/11 SOEs, packaging enterprise applications, and supporting the transition to modern device management using Intune.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to problem resolution, and ensure the environment is well-documented and aligned with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- SCCM Administration: Full site management including application packaging, deployment, and desktop fleet upgrades.
- SOE Rebuilds & Rollouts: Lead the design, testing, and deployment of Windows 10/11 SOEs across the enterprise.
- Intune & Modern Device Management: Configure and manage policies, profiles, and compliance settings for modern workplace environments.
- Application Packaging: Package and test enterprise applications for deployment across varied user groups.
- Problem Management: Assist in root cause analysis and resolution of infrastructure-related issues.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of environment changes and report outcomes to technical leadership.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with delivery teams and technical coordinators to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
What You’ll Bring
- Extensive SCCM Experience: Proven track record in full site administration, application packaging, and desktop rollouts.
- Intune Expertise: Solid hands-on experience managing modern device configurations and policies.
- Group Policy Mastery: Deep understanding of GPO design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- SOE Deployment Skills: Experience in building and deploying Windows 10/11 SOEs in enterprise environments.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across desktop infrastructure.
- Strong Documentation & Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
