Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst (APS6 Monitoring Analyst).
This is a long-term contract role for 12 months, with a possible 12-month extension (1 extension total), located at our client’s ACT or VIC offices with hybrid working arrangements(minimum of 3 days per week in office, flexible arrangements for the remaining 2 days).
As the selected candidate, you will:
• Monitor critical business systems using tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
• Develop a strong understanding of key business processes and related system architecture
• Design and refine monitoring solutions including alerts, dashboards, and reports
• Troubleshoot system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend improvements
• Deliver continuous improvement initiatives to enhance monitoring capabilities
• Conduct daily health checks of systems
• Communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
• Perform various data analysis and reporting tasks
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for monitoring processes and configurations
To be successful in this role you should have:
• Over 3 years of experience in an ICT monitoring or ICT operations role, ideally supporting CRM systems
• Demonstrated expertise in developing alerts and monitoring solutions using monitoring and log analysis platforms
• Proven experience in identifying and implementing process and continuous improvement activities
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
It is desirable if you have:
• Experience using Splunk
• Solid understanding of log formats such as JSON, XML, CSV, and plain text
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens
with the ability to obtain Baseline security clearance.
