This is a long-term contract role (12-month initial contract) with two possible 12-month extensions, located at our client’s ACT office with hybrid working arrangements(typically 3 days in office and 2 days from home, subject to negotiation).
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Identify, assess, and prioritise cyber vulnerabilities within DFAT’s ICT environment.
- Conduct enriched vulnerability assessments and identify misconfigurations and end-of-life vulnerabilities.
- Provide input into remediation assurance activities.
- Collaborate closely with the Cyber Threat Intelligence team to enrich analysis and contextualise vulnerabilities.
- Work with technical stakeholders and system owners to support risk-based remediation efforts.
- Produce clear, concise vulnerability assessment reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Previous experience in cyber vulnerability management, preferably within a large organisation with a complex ICT environment.
- Experience in a Cyber Analyst role with the ability to work independently, applying an analytical and inquisitive mindset to assess technological vulnerabilities in context.
- Demonstrated experience with Tenable IO and/or Tenable SC.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to varied audiences and produce high-quality reporting.
- A current Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Experience working in or alongside cyber threat intelligence functions, including conducting threat modelling or participating in red team exercises.
- Previous experience working in federal or state government environments.
- A current Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2) security clearance.
