Based in Melbourne CBD - 4 days/week on site. This initial 6 month contract role is a unique opportunity to contribute to a large network transformation program. This role has a strong chance of extension, and/or transitioning to a permanent role.
In this dynamic position, you’ll be instrumental in managing complex customer contracts, supporting high-stakes commercial negotiations, and ensuring compliance in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Commercial and Contracts Team to support proposals, contract execution, and pursuit activities.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of a major customer contract, including relationship management, schedule tracking, and coordination of responses.
- Lead contract change processes, ensuring timely and accurate handling of high volumes of modifications.
- Translate complex contractual information into clear documentation, including flow-downs between head contracts and subcontracts.
- Collaborate across the Commercial and Contracts Team to uphold compliance and governance standards.
- Support program delivery through effective contract management, reporting, and meticulous record-keeping.
- A relevant tertiary qualification (ideally in Contract Management, Law, Commerce, or similar) and a minimum of five years’ experience in contracts, proposals, and risk management.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial contracting, including subcontracts and service-based agreements.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative mindset.
- Proven ability to manage high volumes of change and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract documentation tools.
- Australian Citizenship (mandatory)
- Experience in IT, government or defence sectors.
- Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to evolving project needs.
