In this role, you will be responsible for effectively liaising between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable plans and solutions for the ongoing development and enhancement of our clients’ applications.
Responsibilities may include:
Business Analysis (expert skills required)
- Initiates and leads business situation analysis where there is extensive ambiguity, complexity and potentially significant organisational impacts.
- Establishes and promotes the need for holistic business situation analysis prior to change programme initiation.
- Engages with stakeholders at executive level and advises on recommended change initiatives.
- Defines organisational policies, standards and techniques for business situation analysis.
- Defines the problem. Assesses the availability and usability of data and determines the most appropriate technique for analysis in consultation with senior colleagues.
- Prepares data for analysis (cleansing and transformation).
- Manipulates, explores and models data using programming languages and complex techniques in consultation with senior colleagues.
- Simplifies and summarises data / information.
- Draws out key insights for stakeholders.
- Communicates insights in a clear and concise manner in a range of formats for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Prepares clear and concise project proposals.
- Defines goals in measurable and time bound terms.
- Executes and controls projects within agreed scope.
- Manages resource requirements.
Key Skills and experience
- 5+ years working as an IT Business Analyst with sound knowledge of SDLC within an agile project delivery model.
- Experience planning, facilitating, eliciting and documenting business, functional and technical requirements.
- Knowledge of a variety of technologies and platforms, including data warehouse, master data management and web services.
- Knowledge of data structures and database design, business intelligence and analytical tools and data integration methods.
- Experience with Atlassian, JIRA and Confluence.
- Relevant qualification in information management, ICT, IT or related discipline.
