Our Prestigious Cybersecurity Client is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer for their team in Canberra (ACT).
This is a permanent employment opportunity, based at our client’s Canberra (ACT) office with full-time onsite working arrangements. Open to candidates with full working rights, including visa holders, permanent residents, and Australian citizens.
As the selected candidate, you will:
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create effective test matrices and test cases from requirements using various testing techniques
• Update, create, and maintain regression test cases using automated scripts
• Maintain the QA Automation Framework
• Perform system integration testing manually and through test automation scripts
• Report bugs and errors clearly with supportive details in bug management tools
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
• Provide inputs to Test Lead for planning, strategy, and effort estimation
• Assist with root cause analysis and defect troubleshooting
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and strategies
To be successful in this role you should have:
• A qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python); exposure to others (C, SQL, HTML/JavaScript) desirable
• Experience writing test frameworks and test plans/strategies for web-based applications and APIs
• Strong skills in UI automation using Selenium WebDriver or similar tools
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI pipelines such as Jenkins
• Understanding of GIT and version control
• Experience in system integration testing across multiple operating systems (Linux, Windows)
• Familiarity with networking and cyber security concepts
It is desirable if you have:
• Experience in firmware testing
• Experience with performance and/or security testing
• Knowledge or experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
