This Queensland Government agency is seeking 2 Project Officers to support the delivery of initiatives that uplift digital literacy across the public sector. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, embraces ambiguity, and enjoys working on projects that evolve and adapt.
🔍 What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the implementation of the Digital Capability Action Plan across government.
- Conducting research and analysis to identify skills and capability gaps and align learning opportunities to frameworks such as SFIA.
- Engaging with stakeholders across government, industry, and education to drive collaboration and participation.
- Preparing clear, audience-focused documentation to support decision-making and project delivery. Prepare and present information in a style best suited to the intended audience, to inform and support decision making.
- Navigating change with confidence, contributing to projects that are iterative and responsive to emerging needs.
- Undertake research and analysis on a range of topics, analysing information that is important and how it should be used to support action plan objectives.
- Take ownership of small work packages to help deliver project outcomes efficiently.
- Collaborates closely with project teams and stakeholders, gathering updates and information to maintain project records and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Assists with planning, scheduling, tracking and reporting using established tools and processes. Follows recommended solutions to ensure accurate documentation and communication of project progress.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication, including the ability to prepare clear, concise reports, briefs, and other project documentation.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Passion for digital transformation and workforce capability uplift.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and shifting priorities. Need to be able to pivot and flexible in your approach.
- Demonstrated experience working with project management methodologies in a government environment.
- Familiarity with digital skills frameworks (e.g. SFIA) and generative Generative Artificial intelligence (AI) tools is a bonus.
- Tertiary qualifications is understood.
