About the Role
The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the transition to a new finance platform, SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, from SAP ECC6. This project is part of a broader government-led Finance Modernisation Program, which involves multiple agencies moving to a modern, cloud-based financial system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the S/4HANA transition project within QCS, ensuring alignment with the broader QSS-led Finance Modernisation Program.
- Building strong relationships with executives, business owners, and subject matter experts to secure buy-in and shared ownership of outcomes.
- Providing high-level communication, reporting and documentation to sponsors and stakeholders.
- Applying proven project management methodologies (Prince2/Agile) and governance frameworks to ensure successful delivery.
- Identifying, assessing, and managing risks and issues, with timely escalation where required.
- Tracking and reporting on project benefits realisation.
- Delivering artefacts such as project initiation documents, change and engagement strategies, highlight reports, briefing notes, and presentations
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in project management.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects in financial system development and implementation.
- Strong experience with project reporting and artefacts within government agencies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Proven experience in project definition, delivery planning, and transformation/change initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and manage risks and issues effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analysis, Information Systems, or similar.
- Project/Program Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, Agile).
