About the Role:
Our Federal Government Client is seeking Portal/App Designer / Systems Analysts. This is a long-term contract role initially for 12 months, with 1 x 12-month extension, located at our client’s ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, or VIC offices, with hybrid working arrangements.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to determine and refine business requirements
- Negotiate project scope in line with technical and resourcing constraints
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and present solution designs
- Work closely with UX designers, architects, developers, and product assurance to ensure quality and feasibility of designs
- Develop detailed design artefacts including user stories, wireframes, and functional specifications
- Conduct peer reviews and validate delivered functionality
- Advise on project risks and coordinate solution implementation
- Troubleshoot design issues post-implementation
- Share knowledge and transfer skills to departmental staff
To be successful in this role you should have:
- A minimum SFIA Level 4 competency level
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in ICT
- 3–5+ years of experience in IT systems analysis and digital solution design(web/mobile apps)
- Experience working on large, complex IT systems in Australian Government environments
- Strong experience in web and mobile application design
- Working knowledge of the DTA Digital Service Standard and accessibility compliance
- Familiarity with designing inclusive solutions for diverse user groups
- Proven interaction design experience
It is desirable if you have:
- Experience working within large organisations undergoing digital transformation
- Background in applying UX/User-Centred Design in waterfall SDLC
- Experience contributing to agile development teams
