About the Role As a Senior Performance Engineer, you’ll work within a specialist Quality Engineering team to deliver robust, scalable, and high-performing systems. You’ll lead initiatives across performance testing, automation, service virtualization, and chaos engineering.
What You’ll Do
- Drive performance engineering practices across the software development lifecycle.
- Build and maintain performance test frameworks and automation scripts.
- Define and validate non-functional requirements (NFRs) for software and infrastructure.
- Analyse system performance using logs, dashboards, and monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and frameworks to improve performance outcomes.
- 10+ years of experience in performance testing (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, Performance Center).
- Strong knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Splunk, Nagios).
- Proficiency in scripting and programming (Java, Python, Shell, etc.).
- Experience with Linux systems and database technologies (Oracle/SQL).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and chaos engineering practices.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
