About the Role:
Our Utilities Client is seeking an Oracle Integration Specialist.
This is a long-term contract role for 13 months, with potential extensions, located at our client’s office in Canberra(hybrid arrangement though candidates must strictly be Canberra-based).
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Design, build, and support integrations between Oracle Fusion Field Service (OFFS) and enterprise systems (Oracle WAM, GIS, SharePoint, etc.)
- Develop and manage integration flows using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and SOA Suite, including REST/SOAP APIs, file adapters, orchestration, and data transformation
- Collaborate with solution architects and project delivery teams to ensure integrations comply with architecture and interface specifications
- Work with functional consultants and system owners to understand requirements, data mappings, and business rules
- Support unit, system integration, and end-to-end testing activities
- Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot integration performance in non-production and production environments
- Maintain technical documentation (ICDs, integration specs, deployment guides, runbooks)
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and governance standards
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams on deployment, patching, and release management
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and interoperability
- Stay updated on Oracle Integration Cloud and SOA Suite best practices and apply enhancements
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Proven experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and/or Oracle SOA Suite
- 3–5 years’ experience with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and web services
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, error handling, and performance tuning
- Experience working with Oracle WAM and/or Oracle Fusion Field Service highly regarded
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle ERP, or Oracle SaaS applications
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
It is desirable if you have:
- Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Relevant Oracle certifications
