đź§© Role Overview
We’re seeking a proactive and technically capable Network Engineer to support the delivery of multiple infrastructure projects under the MP&E Program. This role involves designing and commissioning network technologies across corporate, production, and process control environments. You’ll work autonomously across minor works and larger initiatives, taking ownership of deliverables from requirements through to transition to support.
đź”§ Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with IS&T stakeholders to design and deliver network solutions
- Commission technology across multiple network domains
- Develop high-quality technical requirements, design documentation, and change management plans
- Lead implementation, testing, and back-out planning
- Support asset and solution transition into operational support
- Manage multiple concurrent work fronts with minimal supervision
đź§ Required Skills & Experience
- Cisco CCNP-level experience in IP network design and implementation (certification preferred but not essential)
- Strong understanding of Layer 1 (structured cabling, fibre, environmental considerations)
- Proven experience with Layer 2 protocols: REP, STP (REP exposure is essential)
- Working knowledge of Layer 3 protocols: OSPF, BGP (basic understanding required)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Firewalls: policy implementation and access troubleshooting
- Ability to write and present technical documentation for change advisory boards
- Experience with structured change management processes
- Mining experience preferred, especially exposure to site operations and infrastructure
