About the role
We are hiring Mainframe Developers (Junior to Mid-level) to join a dynamic team working on complex mission-critical systems for a global consulting company in Brisbane.
This role suits professionals with some hands-on experience in mainframe environments, passionate about maintaining and modernising large-scale enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain COBOL applications on z/OS.
- Write and optimise SQL queries for DB2 for z/OS.
- Integrate applications using IBM MQ and manage system security via RACF.
- Perform JCL scripting, VSAM file handling, and use DB2 utilities (LOAD, REORG, UNLOAD).
- Experience with COBOL, DB2, RACF, JCL, IBM MQ, and TSO/ISPF.
- Understanding of data modelling, message queues, and secure access controls.
- Exposure to Micro Focus Enterprise Developer/Analyzer and Agile/DevOps is desirable.
