About the Role:
Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Lead Interaction Designer (EL1 Senior UX/UI Designer). This is a long-term contract role for 7 months, with a possible 7-month extension, located in ACT, VIC, NSW or SA
with hybrid working arrangements.
As the selected candidate, you will:
• Design wireframes and prototypes to support multiple digital projects within the Office of the CIO.
• Contribute to and help implement the client's Design System.
• Facilitate co-design workshops and usability testing with staff, providers, and participants.
• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with business and product owners.
• Conduct stakeholder engagement activities to co-design effective, inclusive solutions.
• Illustrate design concepts through storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
• Influence project documentation and ensure UI/UX requirements are embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Produce design deliverables in line with project timelines.
To be successful in this role you should have:
• Proven experience using UI/UX
requirement elicitation techniques (e.g., workshops, prototyping, interviews, observation).
• Strong knowledge of contemporary UI/UX
methodologies and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
• 3–5 years’ experience
as a UX/UI Designer, ideally within complex digital environments.
It is desirable if you have:
• Experience designing for Salesforce
platforms.
• Strong background in accessible design, with practical understanding of accessibility standards.
• Passion for inclusive, user-centred design
—especially for users living with disabilities.
Due to security clearance requirements
for this role ,
candidates must be Australian citizens
with the ability to obtain a Baseline clearance.
