We are seeking a Junior Storage Engineer to join a leading global consulting partner on a permanent role based in Melbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in storage engineering while working on large-scale enterprise infrastructure projects.
About the Role
As a Junior Storage Engineer, you will:
- Assist in the setup, monitoring, and maintenance of on-premises storage systems (SAN/NAS/backup).
- Support day-to-day operations, incident resolution, and service requests.
- Contribute to documentation, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams across compute, network, and cloud environments.
What We’re Looking For
- Active NV1 Security Clearance (mandatory).
- 2+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure with exposure to storage systems.
- Knowledge of HPE, Cisco, Brocade, Hitachi, HP storage, Nutanix, NetBackup, or HP tape libraries beneficial.
- Familiarity with storage monitoring, provisioning, and capacity management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
