This is a long-term contract role with an initial contract duration of 12 months with 1 x 12-month extension term , located at our client’s locations across ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, and WA with hybrid working arrangements.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Assist in executing Release Management processes including scheduling, coordinating, and managing releases across multiple platforms (Salesforce, MuleSoft, EDW, SAP, APIC, etc.).
- Support the review and refinement of release content based on prioritised backlogs, service requests, or updates.
- Contribute to the development and upkeep of the Release Schedule, aligning with business requirements and technical dependencies.
- Participate in Release Readiness, Milestone, and Business Go/No-Go reviews.
- Assist with the creation of Release, Deployment, Run Books, and Implementation Plans.
- Work alongside engineers to manage code merges and branching impacts.
- Produce regular release reports and represent the release program within ICT Change Management processes.
- Ensure compliance with ICT change protocols including cybersecurity assessments.
- Attend daily stand-ups and support senior leaders with ad hoc improvement activities.
- 1–2 years’ experience working in Release Management processes within enterprise systems.
- Working knowledge of the SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD, and tools such as JIRA and Confluence within Agile environments.
- Experience managing release interdependencies and ensuring adherence to governance and milestones.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated collaboration, time management, and negotiation abilities.
- Resilience under pressure with a proactive approach to continuous improvement in release processes.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and an industry-recognised qualification in project management (e.g., Diploma of Project Management or SAFe Agile).
- Experience in Release or Project Management within Federal or State Government environments.
- Enthusiasm for and understanding of accessible design and development practices.
- Familiarity with the Solution Delivery Lifecycle and its link to Change and Release Management.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies for security threats.
