About:
We are seeking a talent pool of IT Field Service Technicians to support a major mining client with both Perth CBD-based and regional site requirements. While your base will be in Perth, you'll also provide ad-hoc FIFO support to regional WA and QLD, assisting with IT infrastructure and Village Entertainment Systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on desktop, network, and Audio Visual (AV) support to end users across various shifts.
- Travel to regional WA and QLD sites as needed to maintain and support communication and entertainment systems.
- Install and replace TVs, access points, and other infrastructure hardware.
- Support wireless and GPON network technologies as well as PAGA and CCTV systems.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, network, and AV issues effectively, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Maintain accurate documentation including ticket resolution notes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in infrastructure projects, contributing to planning, implementation, and improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and deliver excellent service.
- Provide FIFO backfill support to other DXC clients as required.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in desktop, network, and Audio Visual (AV) support.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
- Clear and professional written communication skills for documentation and ticketing.
- Ability to work effectively with a user base on varying shift patterns.
- Organised, proactive, and self-driven with a commitment to excellent customer service.
- Willingness and capability to travel and work on FIFO rosters to regional sites.
- Experience coordinating with stakeholders and working autonomously in remote environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Cisco CCNA or similar certification desirable
